Staples to hold baseboards.. Anyone try
Im a finish carpenter in Canada & I find it takes my guys way too much time to find studs to nail the base into then almost anything else. The houses we are doing currently get the walls painted before we go in to trim them out.
Someone suggested I try staples because they spread apart when you shoot them in therefore holding the trim with just the drywall… Hmmm…
I tried it in a part of the last house I did & man it seemed to work fantastic. OTher then the larges nail holes to fill. I did put glue on the back side. The stapler I have shoots 1 1/4 staples. The bottom of the base ALWAYS gets nailed in to the bottom plates it just the top portion of the trim.
Has anyone else tried this? I wonder if there will be problems in the future.
God Bless Ya!
