After a head-on car accident I’ve been religated to “limited duty” from my carpentry/remodler business. I’ve kept pretty busy working for various interior trim sub-contractors putting on door knobs, towel bars, tp holders, ect. I’m interested to know where contractors purchase this hardware. Factory direct of from wholesalers? How is the service from these vendors? I’m looking into a supply and install business. Any ideas???

Lately, I have seen more and more boxes with the items you mention coming from the big box stores, Wal-Mart and especially Target.
One builder I do work for simply offers an allowance for these items, let's the customer (almost always the wife) go out and purchase them and then reimburses them with a check at closing.
