I’m building a steam shower… I have the steam generators (pulled like 10 of em out of a hotel that was come’n down) i have the timers and the wall nozzles…
I’m not set on wall materials ect….. it’s going to be a walk in shower so i was think’n to keep it simple I’d build it where you could shower door open and steam door closed or cracked…..
nozzle placement is one issue… do i put em high or low? i don’t want to cook or burn anyone… i think i need to build in a sitting bench but do i need a high & low bench for effect… i’ve got 4 ft wide and can make it up to 8ft long and as high as needed (14ft ceiling) do i want a low ceiling to capture the steam? slant the ceiling so moisture rolls off?
tile walls or man made materials?
a light fixture in the stall?
figured the whole thing backer board… but foam foil board behind that even if i fit it between studs?
any info or ideas?
thanks in advance

I plan to do steam shower and have done a little research myself. There are tons of threads on steam showers on the John Bridge forum, as well as some design information at SteamSaunaBath.com site. Good luck!

Use a water filter.
The copper pipe leading to the outlet fitting needs to slope back towards the generator.
18" off the floor not pointing at you is good.
