Question for builders, I have a hot tub spec sheet caalling for “bonding” slab steel. Huh? Grounding the mesh or rebar? With a GFCI sub panel what more could you need?

Are you sure it wasn't saying to bond TO the slab steel? When I built in-ground concrete pools, we bonded all of our electrical equipment to the steel cage in the shell of the pool.
