I have a moen single lever kitchen faucet, with pull-out spray arm, 3 years old, that is getting more and more difficult to lift up. It’s probably easiest in the middle, more difficult if it’s off to either side (extreme hot or cold).
So, what’s wrong with it. Are there some parts I should get before I take it apart — I figure it should be an easy fix, once you tell me what’s wrong……..
thanks, guys

It's easy to replace the cartridge, and replacement cartridges are available from any hardware store. However, simply lubricating the existing cartridge with valve grease or silicone grease will probably fix things.
EDIT(to MART not DAN... sorry bout that)Dan is right, it sounds like you need a new cartridge. While you are picking up a new valve pick up a tube of valve grease and a moen cartridge pulling tool. You could spend hours horsing around trying to get the valve out without the tool (which is specific to moen), I remember them being about 20 bucks at Blowes. could not find the tool on lowes' website but here it is on ebay

Actually, in a newer faucet the valve cartridge generally comes out easily, if you follow the package instructions. The basic trick is to rotate the cartridge body back and forth 1/4 turn before trying to pull it.

Thanks guys. Gives me a project for the week-end..or maybe a project for the husband.......
Call Moen support.
If it is the cartridge they will send you a new one.
If it is other then they might have a suggestion.
