I have a plumbing ? I want to put my washing machine in the master bedroom. The problem is the stink vents are about 25 feet away. The obvious solution is to put a vent in the roof on the front of the house, which I really dont want to do. Can I use the existing vent 25′ away? jeffysan

Probably not. Codes specify a maximum distance between a trap and the vent. I don't recall the number, but it's WAY less than 25' - lol.
That only applies to the distance between the trap and where the vent starts. From there the vent can run 25 feet or more, as long as grade is maintained the entire time. So the OP would have to start venting within the required distance and then maintain grade until he can connect to the existing vents.
I did it in college, throw the hose in the master bath tub.
You can also use an air admitance valve (Studor valve) if you local codes allow it.
i've heard of barefoot and pregnant, but are you gonna let the old lady out of the bedroom long enough to cook?

You Go, Piffen!!!!!
The only thing that the code will restrict you on using that vent 25' away is , if that vent is maxed out for fixture units.
& a 2" vent can carry 24 fixture units so I doubt that it's overloaded.
You will have to run a 2" vent cause an 1-1/2" vent can only go 20' horizontally.
