I could use some feedback on storm doors, in particular, double wide storm doors. My experiences to date have not been good. Either the unit is poorly made, has plastic hardware components, poor assembly instructions, missing parts or all of the above. Can anyone recommend a high quality, full view, double wide unit that will stand up to Minnesota winters and still look good 10 years from now?

When deck posts exceed what the prescriptive code tables allow, it's time to consult a structural engineer for post sizing and possible bracing.

Best luck I have had for the money is Larson Storm Doors. The Depot sells them. Try a web search for them , Best of luck!
I don't know about doublewides, but I was pleased with Larson's higher end full-view door with brass hardware.
Both Home Dump and Lowes sells them for around $200+.
Just installed a Pella full glass door, very impressed with the quality!
Pella makes storm doors ?
I guess a full-glass door would serve double duty.
Yep!
Lowes, 1 5/8" thick, insulated, full glass, real nice brass lock set with dead bolt, closer top & bottom, colors. Ours was 36" green with a fancybrass leaded type glass and screen, $289.00. The best part was the cashier was talking on the phone while she was ringing us up a didn't scan the $83.00 glass. Our style door you picked out the door, then your lock set, & then the type of glass for the door. One of the more pricer doors @ $289.00, a plain glass door was $219.00.
Love Lowes they always under charge me!!!
So, if you did a remodeling job for someone and forgot to charge them for the $1,000.00 patio door you just installed, you wouldn't ask for it later?"Objects in mirror appear closer than they are."

Walking out of the store with an item you knowingly did not pay for is theft. The same as if you broke in after hours with a crowbar.
If they ring up the wrong price on the scanner (so long
as its cheaper) its mine for that price. Its an actual law.
If they insist on counting 100 brackets and come up with
92 when I told them its 100, too bad. If they forget to charge
me for a $2 item, I usually remember. If they forget to
charge me $100, I always remember and tell them. Certainly
a "do unto others" situation. If I would mind having it done
to me, I don't do it to somebody else.
You're correct about the wrong price ringing up, I believe. But that's not what happened here. He knew the $83 glass was on his cart and the checker did not ring it up. That's why most of these large stores have additional checkers at the door. Just catching that one item would pay the salary of the checker.
Ps To come in here and brag about it really shows how much the moral values of this country have slipped
I'm not sure that the moral values in this country were all that
high to begin with. A lot of the early population started out
indentured, exiled, or slaves. Women couldn't vote. Whether your
opinion counted was (and still is) a function of your wealth.
Its considered improper to cheat or oppress a member of your
own religion or ethnic group, but to hell with those (fill in
the epithet of your choice.) Everyone is equal, but really,
just between us, everyone who's not one of US is inferior.
The older I get, the more frustrated I am with the hypocracy.
But, I digress. I wouldn't brag about stealing something or
feel proud that I did.
