Is a 4 or 6 panel door stronger and/or less susceptible to warpage than a 2 panel door, given that it has an additional stile?

No well made true rail and stile door should ever warp--the cross grain--large glue space and mortice and tenon all work like a dream to keep doors flat--For example
I visited a small museam today with my daughter for GS and got into a conversation with the curator about the acual building--I can' t help my carpenter tendancies-
In any case 1929 building once a house now a meseam which had 8/4 door everywhere out of oak, walnut and other species
swing door, pocket and folding all working and staying true.
Now---if you are refering to some of the hole fillers made today that some call doors that is another story--

Thanks, I want to go with 2 panel fir doors (Rogue Valley) that I will seal with Spar finish even though they are interior doors. They offer a heavy raised panel that is 1 3/8" thick.
Any wood door being made today is made up of lots of little pieces of striaght grained wood, finger-jointed together. The result is then covered with a veneer. Those built-up pieces then become the stiles and rails for paneled doors.
Because they are built up in that fashion, they are extremely stable. There should be no more chance of warping with two panels than with six, or vice versa.
Pick your type of door based on your style choice. Don't worry about twisting since the chances are just way too small.
