In the past I have seen a structural lap board sheeting for floors or roof. It’s basically 3 1×6 glued in a staggered fashion, similar to the profile of carsiding, and is able to span large distances while maintaining an appealing appearance. I even recall seeing it used on TOH, but I can’t seem to find it anywhere. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Considering using it to frame a porch that remains exposed on the underside.

You're looking for T&G (tongue & groove) floor (or Roof) decking. Typically nominal 2x6, 3x6s or 3x8s. Very common in old industrial buildings. Not so common today. Most likely available on the west coast as a special order. See the attachment.
