We just had new stucco put on our house ( 3 coats ). The color coat was supposed to be PACIFIC SAND. Unfortunately, the stucco guys used the wrong base for the color coat and we now have peachy-pink. The stucco guys just love the color, however, we and all of our neighbors hate it. What are our options for changing the color? Can they add another color coat? Would this affect the windows? The color coat seems to be flush with the frames. Do they need to wait for the 28 day “cure time” recommended by La Habra prior to re stuccoing?? Or is our only other option to paint? If so, how long do we need to wait to paint?? Thanks for any insight.

Charlie, one of your options is to have the "peachy-pink" color sandblasted off similar to a re-stucco job. then have a new color applied or apply a white skim base coat and then your 'pacific sand' color coat. there are many different views about painting stucco but I don't prefer it. anyway, if you contracted to have 'pac sand' and got 'peachy- pink' the contractor should do the re-work for free. because they like the color is tough s--t, it's your house and they are trying to get out of their f--k up. stick to you guns and get them to do it right.
good luck
Jim
*I agree totally with Jim Orban--what they like doesn't matter a bit. They should have offered to make good right away. We had work done where you can't tell the color till it dries. They did it in two parts and got the recipe wrong on part two. Even though it probably cost them all profit on the job, they insisted on a total redo on their nickel. And best of all, the day they redid it, there was no grumbling about how they were losing money--they were just happy to have the end product be right. That's professionalism and that's what you should expect from your guys.
*You have a case against the contractor particularly if he has admitted the mistake or if you have the color documented in you contract. Contact the manufacturer for repair options.
