Paul,
Yeah, that's a problem with traditional stucco.
Sealoflex makes a couple of elastomeric stucco and stucco repair products that should help you to avoid a recurrence of that problem. Call Rob at (800) 770-6466. He should be able to help you.
We started using elastomeric materials in stucco mixtures back in 1985. My favorite was a polyurethane elastomer. Unfortunately the owners of the business got too flushed with success - bought new Corvettes for all of the company officers and ski lodge condos in Colorado and went bankrupt. Left me high and dry. The jobs still look good today. I purposely avoided getting back into the stucco business until this year. I'd looked at several other products and just didn't like them or the application process. Coraflex stucco by Sealoflex has changed my mind. I talked with a builder in Florida who has used the product/process and was all raves over it. We've just made up some sample boards, and my first impression is very good. The initial response by some of the area builders has been excellent.
Good luck.
Cliff.
