Hi all. I’ve got a wonky 23/32 OSB subfloor over 2×10 joist, (16oc for front of house, perpendicular 12oc back of house)
I’ve shimmed the entire subfloor by ripping 2x SPF to level it all out. I’ve glued and stapled it down (will put some screws in too).
I’m installing 3/4″ t&g plywood overtop the shims with 3/4″ hardwood to finish.
My question is, do I glue and screw down the plywood underlay through the shims, OSB, and into the joists, or just into the shims/OSB. Note, in some areas the subfloor was level and so underlay will.go directly on it.
After underlay I’ve got aquabar B before hardwood goes on.
Thanks!

Glue and screw into the joists. If you just screw into the osb you are asking for squeaks.
