I just had my sump pump replaced, and I’m sorry I didn’t do it myself! Can someone help me. When they replaced the sump pump, they cut the galvanized pipe on the pressure side of the pump and replaced it with plastic pipe. The plastic pipe is connected to the galvanized pipe with a Fernco coupling. Is it ok to use these couplings on the pressure side? I know Fernco doesn’t recommend it but is this standard practice?
