Can anyone tell me the proper method for installing a sump-pump? In particular I need help in determining the proper method to install the “bucket”. I was told by a contractor that I should drill holes in the bucket before installing into the hole to allow any water under the floor to seep into the bucket (when the soil under the floor becomes saturated). Is this correct?
