I have a new customer that wants a couple of tunnel/tube style skylights. Anyone have any info / brand preferences, maybe ease of installation/ price? Thanks

Velux has the tunnels and the tubes....
bigger is better
You'll get lots of info by running a search in the archives on "sun tunnel" and "Solatube". I recently did this and found a boat load of good info from past threads.

Installation is not hard. We installed one in a whole house remodel. After installation about a week or so later, I told the painters to turn off all the lights when they left. The next day they told me they cold not find the switch for the Kitchen light...it was the solar tube.
you can make your own with Lexon panels too if you are feeling ambiscious
When in doubt, get a bigger hammer!
A friend of mine has one in an interior hallway. I, too, thought it was a flourescent and wondered why he was leaving it on all day. Then I walked down there and took a look. ;-)

Solatube is the way to go IMHO. The rigid pipe is harder to install than the flex but you get lots more light coming in. It's amazing how much light a 14" tube will bring in. Also very little heat gain with the tubes vs. skylights.
