support for a shed roof

Greetings!
I can’t find a resource for this question so here it is:
Will a 2 x 6 x 12 support a shed roof made of 2 x 6 joists on 16 in centers?
I’m using a 4 x 6 for support columns at each end.

    your questions is missing a couple things.

    like the size of the shed roof, is it attached to a structure, or free standing,

    sounds like the shed roof is 12 ft wide, how long is it?

    where are you? (what is the snow load requirement)

    Are you going to sit the joists on the beam, or use joist hangers?
