I recall a thread a few weeks ago related to building child swing sets…can anyone point me there? Can’t seem to find it using the search method.

I don't know where the thread is, but I remember replying to it. I tried to build one myself and wish now that I never started- mostly because it's not finished after over a year.
Yeh, it's much bigger and stronger than anything I've seen out on the retail market, but what good is a slide stored upside down behind the garage. I had to finally move it there after I had a dream one night where my wife comes running into the house telling me that our 4 year old just finished bolting the slide up to the second level deck!
At least I got the swings, rope disk and trapeeze bar up and the kids love it. Actually, it was my six year old that had tears in her eyes one night asking when I'd put the swings up- they were up within a week from that.
Anyway, if you want to try it yourself, I bought all the swing parts (safety chain included) online from American Swing Products in Nevada. They have real quality stuff at good prices.
Good luck! and think of your kids!!
