There is a company in Lakewood, Colorado that mfr’s custom wooden switchplates. They make ’em out of solid stock (any specie), for any kind of use. Most importantly, they’re normal sized relative to metal or plastic, and they really match the work.

*Cliffman: Thanks for the website. We recently had a horribly experience making a hole bunch of coverplates ourselves. They were out of sugar pine and most of them kept curling during the finish process. JKB
