Symbols in the message listings

Can someone tell me what the symbols next to the message listings mean?  I’m referring to the paper clips, stars, bullet dots, etc.

Thanks for the help.

    paper clip means there is an attachment typically a photo.

    Bullet is a post you have read

    A star is for post with messages that you have not read.

    A thumbs up is for one you have responded to or shown a high interest
