I am interested in any feedback from anyone who installed the Synergy 3 from Water Furnace. We are about to embark on new construction and are seriously interested in the geo thermal application.

We have a 4 ton two-stage E-Series from Water Furnace, not a Synergy-3 as we didn't need the radiant heat.
The ECM (electronic commutated motor) blower motor is a plus. Very quiet, gradual start and shutdown, allows continuous blower operation to avoid temperature stratification with very low energy consumption compared to standard permanent split capacitor blower motors.
Only potential downsides I see are:
The Synergy-3 units use the older R-22 refrigerant that is being phased out. R-22 for service calls will be available (they say until 2020) but its cost is sure to escalate (probably dramatically). But, these are sealed systems, built in a factory, and leaktested to better than 1 ounce leakage per year (and probably much better), so this may not be a big issue.
There is no desuperheater available for domestic hot water heating (your diverting it to floor heating!).
We are very pleased with our geothermal system!
Thanks. I appreciate the info. Will check into that R-22.
