Looks like GAF has quit making them, so you have IKO, Certainteed, Tamko, OC maybe, and possibly Elk, but I couldn't get their site to come to check.

Nope! Tamko's been out of the T-lock manufacturing business for over 2 years and owens corning before that?!
At the risk of showing my ignorance, what ARE t-lock shingles. I thought I knew all kinds of roofing, but I've never seen nor heard of interlocking asphalt shingles.....
t lock describes them pretty well, shaped like a t,the 2 wings on the t slide down and interlock on the previous one, seems like 2 nails holds them.for me they go on alot slower. they were used a lot here in the midwest with high winds up until the early 80's.they have improved the glue strip on 3 tabs so much that they are almost a thing of the past now.larryif a man speaks in the forest, and there's not a woman to hear him,is he still wrong?
He covered it pretty well. The T shape has a couple ears on thetail of the T that fit into slots in the previous pair of shingles below it, locking against wind uplift. The more irregular pattern also makes them good for covering over another roof as a salvage layer

I just had a roof bid with tlocks so they must be available somwhere. roofer did tell me i had to buy a full pallet ,i think 20 sqs.the supplier didn't want to break a pallet and get stuck. i think that was coming from abc supply, they are nationwide.larry
