have to retire my delta sidekick table saw due to numerous problems
saw is a piece of junk but has a great stand
any suggestions?
need high accuracy for cabinet work(bevelled fillers in hardwood are the toughest)
prefer 10 inch blade size, low noise, portability

This will be of no help
you used the word portability
so based on what the usual answers are (alphabeticaly)
bosch, dewalt, mikita with roussau table, porter-cable
bobl Volo Non Voleo
cab and finish work is what I do most.
I love the rack and pinion fence on my DeWalt....
remember all those times when "that'll work" was left good enough because ya didn't wanna move the fence a fraction.....
well.....now I just unlock......and every so slightly twist the knob.....
also nice to pop the fence off and move it to the other side of the blade.....
I've gone thru most brands of blades..and find myself surprised that the DeWalt blades seem to work best for me too.
only down side....mentioned in another thread...the miter gauge falls out of it's slot when ya tip to carry....so I just carry seperately.
Plenty of power for cab and finish work.....
it'll rip thru 2x's and 4x's......but it'll cut like butter thru cab stock.
holds a freud dado blade nicely too.
think it's a 6" dado set that'll fit....I carry both a stacked and wobble.
I end up doing lotsa angled fillers.......did a job end of last year with lotsa agnled fillers.....cab's pulled in and out.....built a tub front outta the same cab stock.....half-lapped stiles/rails.....
all white cabs and all parts cut from the matching white fillers stock(over maple, I think).....
new blade 80 tooth blade before I started that one and didn't need to touch the touch-up paint kit.
