Hi gang,
Not sure this is the correct forum but hoping you can help me.
My old water heater croaked the other day, an 18 year old, 40 gal electric. We upgraded to an LP fired tankless model made by Navien. The plumber, recommended by my contractor who did both of the renovations on my house, told me this model features a stainless steel heating element rather than copper, for longer life.
In any case, we are on a well and the water is slightly acidic. Is there anything we should do to extend the life of this new unit?
Thanks for your help!
Kell

Find out
what the plumber recommends. It varies based on your water quality. Around here we get some calcium buildup that requires occasional flushing of the unit.
