I have had a Takagi TK2 instantaneous water heater mounted on the outside of my house for about 18 months and have been pretty pleased with it. However, now that gas prices are increasing I decided to set the temp down to 112 instead of 120. When I opened the unit and checked the manual it has different settings depending on whether the unit is natural gas or LP and inside or outside. Mine was set at 120 for a natural gas unit inside but it is outside. Does anyone know what difference it makes if the setting is inside as opposed to outside? How would this affect efficiency and gas usage?
thanks
