Folks,
When putting down plastic sheeting onto the (dirt) floor of a crawl space, I would assume that it’s advisable to tape where the edges overlap (?). What type of tape can hold up over years of humid crawlspace conditions?
Thanks,
Frank

I've read at least one rec here for sticking the overlaps together with acoustical sealant, rather than taping.
Generally, "contractor's sheathing tape" or Tyvek tape should hold up pretty well. Regular duct tape will dry up and peel off in 3-4 years. Foil duct tape might work, but is even more of a PITA than the sheathing tape.
Around here it's been normal practice to just lap by 12". Weigh down the lap, edges and in the field at 6' o/c
All the best...
To those who know - this may be obvious. To those who don't - I hope I've helped.
