Hey you guys! What is the best method to tape the ceiling joint of new sheetrok to plaster in a bathroom [aside from covering the joint with crown]? mud or plaster of paris? I know this is going to be interesting so thank you for your thoughts up front.

I would scratch the surface of the existing painted ceiling. Use timed dry mix (Durabond) then top coat with bucket mud.
