Temporary airtight seal over holes in concrete slab
Hello all,
We have a basement with a rubble stone foundation that was originally a dirt floor. Subsequently, a partial concrete slab was poured, inexplicably leaving some sections uncovered. We had an active radon mitigation system installed and the company covered the exposed areas with heavy black plastic sheets and sealed the perimeters with an unknown sealant. Over time they have come loose.
Eventually we will pour concrete to completely cover the basement floor, but in the meantime, does anyone have a recommended sealant and/or tape that would provide a durable seal of the plastic sheets to the existing concrete?
Thank you!

They sell vapor barrier tape. (google "vapor barrier tape")
One thing to keep in mind is that any tape or sealant you use will work best on the concrete surface if it is clean and dry.
How long is eventually?
the mitigation system should pull a bit of a vacuum on that surface, so you can also try to overlap the area with larger sheets of plastic.
