One more thing – my porch has little overhang, and 1/2 of it faces Southwest. Approximately 5 feet of the boards -which are approximately 9 feet long, are in the sun for approximately 6 hours a day. I called the company and was told as long as I spaced these boards an extra
16th of an inch to allow for the expansion, it would be okay?
Anyone have any experience with Tendura on porches that are parially exposed to the sun?

I put it on my porch. It's it's an eastern exposure so gets sun from daybreak until maybe ten or eleven when the porch roof casts its shadow. I haven't seen any problems with it in three years. I really do like the look of it and the longevity should be good too.
how much space did you leave between the boards? Did you paint it or get the gray?
Didn't leave much space between the boards at all. Maybe a 32nd. As I said it does get some morning sun but because it's coastal we usually have a breeze so it doesn't get super hot.
I used the stuff with the color all the way thru. I figured what's the point of putting in a maintainence free product if you have to maintain it.

Did you paint the Tendura? if not has it fadded?
I'm going to use it on a house that only gets morning sun and not all that much.
