i’ve read some discussions on matsushita and marathon blades. i’ve had good
luck with the marathon. these tenryu blades were stocked with the
matsushitas, same rarified price range. anyone out there tried one? they
make a full line, from saw boss (6″) to table saw… than

I've heard that Tenryu makes blades for Makita. In that case they've got to be one damn good sawblade.
*I have used many Tenyru blades in the shop and have been pretty happy with them. I have a 16" triple-chip on the radial saw and a 10" ATBR 50 tooth combo on the tablesaw at the moment. The metal cutting blades for the 5 3/8" Dewalt cordless saws are unbelievable. I've cut 3" X 1 1/2"X 1/4" c-channel with one, no problem, also 16 ga. tube, 1/8" plate. Compared to Freud or Oldham or Marathon, Tenryu makes a blade that's as good or better. I've never used Forrest or Systematic so I can't compare there. Tenyru also makes the blade for the new Porter-Cable dry-cut metal saw.
