Previous homeowner rolled on a fine textured popcorn type finish to the ceiling of a 20 year old rancher. Roller marks streak across the ceiling everywhere. I thought it was a bad paint job but painting doesn’t help. Any suggestions for the easiest way to make it look more professional? The ceiling is in excellent condition except for the roller marks? (Ceiling height is 8 ft.)

Only answer to me sounds like a skim coat over entire ceiling and retexture. Its always hard to hid others mistakes. Good Luck

Put a drywall knife on a pole, and you can scrape that popcorn right off and start again. You could spray a new, heavier texture over top of it, or do a nice hand brocade or knockdown over it no problem.
