I am considering paneling the cathedral ceiling in my townhouse with wood. I like the look of T&G and would like to do it in Aspen to match the other woodwork. Besides the expensive 3/4″ material what other materials have others had sucess with?

If you were looking for a higher grade wood than Aspen you might get by with a thinner product. A mill near me sells Aspen beaded 1x4 for cheap as there is not much market for 1x4 stock. It looks good installed but there usually is about 20% waste.
