I just talked to a Bosch/Skil rep who says that he no longer has any of those great blades they called the “Ugly”. Does anyone know of a source for this thing? It was one of the best demo blades ever made. They stopped making it after Bosch took over Skil. I’d love to know what anyone else knows about it.

What kind of blade is it?
Will it work fast on rough frames?

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should!
Warning! Be cautious when taking any framing advice from me. Although I have a lifetime of framing experience, all of it is considered bottom of the barrel by Gabe. According to him I am not to be counted amongst the worst of the worst. If you want real framing information...don't listen to me..just ask Gabe!
Is this what you're talking about? If so I just bought some a couple weeks ago at HD.

no that's not it.
several of you posted the pic shown on line HomeDepot. But the photo does not reflect the product description... the description accruately reflects what I am looking for. I will stop by there this PM. It IS what I am looking for...and yes, there is nothing like it ANYWHERE!!! Thanks.
Huh...I ignored this thread because I thought it was about a homely looking ummm...swishy fella...
and now...????
Either the "progressor" blade about 4" long, or the sawzall type of "bow saw" blade is all I can think of.

Yes, I have purchased and used the UGLY blades for awhile now.
They cut really fast and you can be a bit more surgical with them than with normal sawsall blades.
I purchase them at Home Depot.Tom
went to a HD and picked up a pack of 5 yesterday. Not the exact blade it used to be...it used to be REALLY ugly...but it is close enough. Should work fine. photo on the web does not match the item # and description, interestingly enough. thanks again.
I like the 12" Milwaukee "the ax" blades. Just get a good hold on the saw.
Try the Starrett B-123 blade, you won't be disappointed.
Met a Bosch rep, he said Bosch was going to sell an "ugly" blade, was going to send me some to try out. Nothing yet!
You can get the Starrett blades here.
