have to brag a bit here. This is the exterior wall of a utility room on the house that I am in the process of remodeling. It was built in 1915 and this room was added on at some point by some sick individual that thought a shed roof would work. I have also attached the finished wall complete with a gabled roof that ties in with the orginal roof.

well I thought I was adding the pictures. I can build the room but not get the pictures to show up. Help!
my first mistake on posting was not giving the "upload" botton the time to do it's magic before I clicked done.
the title of your pic with it's size will pop up somewhere near the top of the page when it's loaded from your computer and is ready to go...
then ya click done.
Takes longer than you might expect ....try again and wait it out.

Type text of message, then hit the "attach files" button below the text box. Guide the resulting window to the files of the pics on your puter. Make sure that window is set to "show all files" or you may not be able to see your pic files. Click on a pic file you want to upload, then hit the upload button. Then wait and wait some more. When it's uploaded, the window will tell you so. Find the next file via the same process and repeat. When all pic files you want to upload are done, hit "done". That will return you to your original posting window. Then hit "post" there.
It'll probably be necessary to resize and resample your pics prior to posting to make things convenient for those on dial-up. 96 dpi and a file size of no more than or around 100 KB is good for most stuff.
Now let's see those pics.
Knowledge is power, but only if applied in a timely fashion.
woo hoo finally figured this nonsense out. I hate computers, give me a hammer and nails anyday.
guess that is what I get for wanting to brag!!!!

by the way the light you see on the floor on day one is sunshine coming thru the existing all.
Any volunteers for helping on my next project?
honeydoos-- is that guy holding up the back wall some new kind of support post? I don't think it'll meet code. <G> ( I presume thats you )
ROFLOL...you presume wrong. That is one of my helpers that I hire occasionally. Actually honeydoos is a female.......
And no he is not a support......don't need one now. I build a solid wall.

I know enough about Dallas to recognize that's not Highland Park...so where is it? Hope you got a high enough price, I;m not sure I would do that one.
Do it right, or do it twice.
Its in Oakcliff. I did not buy it just signed on for the remodel/restoration. Did not charge enough for it, but am new to this as a business.....have played with it for years as a hobby. Did not do the estimate well. But have had a ball with it. The rest of the house is great and we will be bringing back some great hard wood floors....

Honeydoos-- Sorry, I guess I was being a little sexist in assuming you were male. My wife's projects ( for me ) are called honeydo's, so I just thought it was along the same lines. BTW, nice work on that remodel. I know what its like to under estimate , but we learn from our mistakes and move on.

that is how the company got its name. My fiancee (Male) had a list of repairs to make in his townhouse that he owns. I did the "honeydo" list and the business was launched. I named it honeydoos since at the time I had just taken care of his honeydo list.
No offense intended, I realize that I am definitely a minority in the contrators world. But I love it and it is a talent that I have and seems a shame to waste.
Yep, I learned from my mistake and will estimate better in the future.

honeydoos-- I'm checking my e-mails after taking a few days away. I'm glad you weren't offended by my assumption. My sister-in-law in Georgia does contracting work, so I should know better anyway. I think about the toughest thing in our kind of business is learning to estimate properly. Remodeling has too many variables to make giving prices easy, which is sometimes difficult for customers to understand. Good luck with your endeavors.
liar!
Ya haven't attached nothin'!
not even a pic......

Its very hard to grow, because it's difficult to let go of the models of ourselves in which we invested in so heavily
