Thermally Modified Wood, Radiance, etc.

Have any of you seen Thermally Modified Wood?
This is wood that is heated to about 450 to remove all sugars and makes it rot and insect resistant.
Radiance is the most common wood. At it is distributed in this area by HD (special order) and I think some lumber yards.

But there are several other brands.

They also have a siding, but I can’t tell the pattern, looks like it is a drop siding, but not sure.
PureWood

They are local, but don’t have any dealers within a couple of hundred of miles.

I have seen discussions on web sites, but nothing around here.
I just talked to the vp of radiance today. he gave me a lot of info and
I can not remember all of it but a I have seen it and it does look
nice. It is all #1 SYP and is designed to be resealed after 2 years
with the "One Time Wood" treatment. I will post more as I remember and
hear more info. We (Home Depot) at my store have sold 3 large jobs
(2 homeowners and 1 contractor) and all have loved it. There was some
checking but very minimal. They are working on other species (hem-fir)
as well as stud grade but may be awhile before it hits the market.
No real new news or info but one thing to clarify, they don't
actually advertise "insect resistance".
http://www.radiancewood.com/performance.phpLook at the comparison chart. One item is insect/pest resistance and it shows excellent..
