Thin wall conduit okay next to ACQ wood
I plan to hide thin wall conduit behind some 1x cedar on a outdoor porch. It will sit in a routed groove in ACQ treated. Will it corrode earlier because of being in contact with the treated? The other option is liquid tight. Any thoughts?

Not sure if the galv. on thinwall is up to ACQ. Maybe if both stay dry, but all bets are off ifthey get wet.
Why not pvc?
Thanks Dave it makes sense and is probably cheaper than liquid tight.

Wrap the conduit with, eg, rubber peel&stick flashing -- something that is both an insulator and reasonably waterproof. (Plain electrical tape would work fine for short slots, but would be tedious for any substantial length of conduit.)
(PS: You may want to think about placing a nail plate (or several) over the conduit along the line of your siding nail pattern. It's easy to forget where the conduit is while hanging siding, and a nail CAN penetrate thinwall. Do this in spades if you use plastic instead.)
Thanks Dan I probably would of forgot to do that and I'll probably use PVC too.
