Skip Bob, lets talk about the far more ridiculous Dean. I really can't believe the ragging on Bob. I don't watch the show for Bob, I watch to see what other people are building. Bob is a Boob, but he now really is more our tour guide through the building of a house. If Bob sucks, what about Steve, or Dean who sends you to the rental center for a 8 ton dozer.

J.D.- I agree with you-Dean is a bit more ridiculous than Bob, but at least he actually knows how to do things. Besides that- I'd much rather watch JoAnn Liebler strutting around the jobsite than that guy Riley that Bob has on his show.
O.K., I admit that it's not very important in the overall scheme of things, but Dean's helpers are pretty cute-especially in the warmer weather segments when they wear shorts.
And as far as Steve goes, at least he lets people finish their sentences. And as far as Norm goes, please revert to the above paragraph. Seriously, Norm is a good carpenter and he is very well spoken. For everyone who says-yeah, we could do everything he does with all HIS tools-come on, will ya, give the guy credit for knowing WHAT to do with all of his tools. I have to admit, i wouldn't know how the hell to make half his jigs.
Still, Dean does have cute helpers, though...

*I am with you on the "Hometime" team. Dean and his female counterparts make me nuts! They start a complex project at 9am and are putting the finishing touchs and serving burgers by 5pm! Give me a break! It's no wonder the general public think that anyone can tackle trade work done by craftsman! (The behind the scenes craftsman on the show who actually perform the work, not the hosts as it appears)As for Steve and Norm - they at least wait a few weeks before they have a party!

*If we had Norms paycheck we all could own his tools! He is a true craftsman, as are the Silva Brothers!Steve does a good job too! At least he doesn't touch everything like good ol' Boob, oh I mean Bob.PS: Riley is a HACK!! Look at his thumbs!

I feel vaguely responsible for starting this Vila explosion by < Obsolete Link > innocently kidding Alan for quoting him. So I'd also like to ask for a ceasefire -- all possible views of the poor man have been aired, and the contributors are beginning to devour one another.

Let's move on with the great discussions this board is known for. (I can't see FH reprinting the Bob Vila threads in the magazine anytime soon, do you?)
