Finishing off a basement which does not have a water problem, just want to
seal the walls as a precaution before I cover them up. If anyone has some
comparative experience with these two products, I would appreciate some
input. Thanks, Matt

Prescriptive codes don't address the connection at less common angles, so base the connection off more typical ones using bolts, structural screws, blocking, and steel tension ties.

I've used Thoroseal on the outside of basement walls, and DryLoc on the inside. I think Thoroseal works better from the outside, just from the consistency of the material. If your walls are painted, I don't think Thoroseal would work well at all.
There was a discussion about Thoroseal earlier. See the discussion titled < Obsolete Link > Thoroseal block wall waterproofing finish
A few years ago Fine Homebuilding Magazine had an article on Crystal Lok. I've read reviews about it in the Usenet newsgroup archives, and you may want to look into it. The company website is http://www.corroseal.com/crystalloc.html
To read comments made by other people, go to http://www.google.com and click on the "Groups" tab. Then type "crystal lok" (without the quotes) into the search box.
