Gotta wonder would a rolling floor like that meet Code if in the US?
How long would it take one to sand and refinish a floor like that in 5=8 years after heavy commercial traffic? You have to wonder did they think that one out?
Reminds me of the NY City convention center, almost all glass roof and walls, but no one thought when designing and building how are we going to clean the outside glass. Since built it has I think been resolved but at the start there was no way to clean it.

looks like the first shot is a form with a sheet of vinyl either sealing the vacuum or a final layer. The second photo looks as if it is laminated stips that are cold pressed then possibly steam bent.
The laminations could possible keep the layers from splitting when bent. If it is, it's a interesting concept. Looks like I might need to get my steam bender and vacuum press out to try it. I might just have learned something new.
