   Hard to describe online without pictures - any hardware store should have a flyer or something like that to lay it out. It's easy, just not to describe.

   the switch has three screws, the bottom two, one on each side are called traveler.  

   black (hot) comes in top single screw.

   black goes out(traveler 1) goes to second switch goes in same place (traveler 1)

   red goes out(traveler 2) other bottom screw and goes to other switch bottom screw (traveler 2)

   that leave one screw ( other switch top screw) that goes white to black light connection ( mark the black wire with a piece of white tape to mark as neutral) then white light wire to wire main wire(neutral)

   Or buy a high quality three way switch and follow the diagram on the box.
