After using the 12 oz. Stilletto Ti Hammer now for several months I decided to treat my crew to their own. My brother who has been a diehard Estwing man for 25 years even wanted one. I ordered up three and received them yesterday. The new version is a 14 oz. model and you can really tell the difference in the weight.
I personally like the 12 just fine but according to my bro he likes the 14 better. Still feel that they are a worthy tool in either configuration milled or smooth face.
The only wierd thing that I have noticed is that it sparks once in awhile! Maybe I can use it for a survival tool, Y2K style.

Where can I get these hammers in Canada, more specifically in Vancouver, B.C.. My son in law, also a carpenter, (you'd think my daughter would know better) is having elbow troubles and the ligher hammer may be just the ticket.
Thanks
John
*John - If you can't find a source, let me know. One of the yards here in Yelm sells them for 50 some odd dollars. Shouldn't be more than 60 with shipping. - jb
*Jim,Do I understand that a yard in Yelm, WA carries the Stiletto round $50? Which one? Might be worth a visit. They are more from the [email protected] to email address as I am on a boat and only get to web surf on occasion.
*That's what I'm sayin'. Mountain Lumber. Across the street from the new post office. - jb
*Hey John,Fairbank Lumber in Toronto sells the stiletto (black wood handle....about 85.00 CDN)..also the Hart Woody at about 100.00 CDN....too expensive for me but I just bought a hammer and busted first day out...I was using a Hart Framing Hammer, lasted for two years , not broken just loose head...
