II am tiling my bath room and I had to remove the old glued down linoleum to a concrete floor. I have removed all the linoleum bit there still is thin layer of glue left. I have tried a striping product but has not worked. I am using ditra underlayment. How well will unmodified thin set work or should I use a modified thin set or bonding agent to make sure the ditra will adhere to the floor
Thanks

I used a hot air gun to get the glue up when I did our bath. Do be sure to disconnect the smoke detector first, though. (And you need a REAL hot air gun, not one of those glorified hair dryers they sell now.)
Removing linoleum flooring glued to cement
You can use heat gun or even a hair blow dryer, this will take a bit longer to actually remove all the adhesive.
There is definitely an alternative method called water method which is more safe. A "thirsty" material (hydrophilic) which holds water for a long time is the perfect choice for this job.
Chances are nothing will stick to the adhesive. You may want to rent a power scraper of some kind - it's a common problem. Or you may want to put a layer of hardie or cement board down rather than the Ditra......I never liked the hollow sound of a floor installed with Ditra - it feels cheap to me, rather than the more solid feel of a little cement board.
Good luck!
Removing linoleum glue
Thank you for your replys. I rented a floor buffer that used a special disk that had blades to cut the glue and remove a little of the concrete. Took less than an hour and left a clean surface. It was worth the $75.
