What’s happening, folks? I have a customer that has a cinder block shower in his basement and he wants it tiled. The question is, the cinder blocks are painted. Will the thinset adhere properly with the paint there? Or do I need to do something else? I figured it would be OK, But I always welcome 2nd opinions. Thanks

PL on some 1/4" Hardi-backer. cheap and probably safe. use modified thinset under the tile in case the hardi is a little wiggly.
