Hi Everyone-
I’m going to be tiling a condo that has t&g wood flooring glued onto a concrete slab. Can I lay the ceramic tile directly on the wood flooring (after the finish has been removed) or should I pull up the flooring (alotta work since it is glued down) and lay the tile directly onto the concrete? Also, what type of thinset would you recommend for laying ceramic tile onto the wood flooring? Thanks in advance for everyone’s input.

its not recommended laying tile on wood. concrete backer board is all the rage, i believe you screw the backer to the wood, altho i'm not positive about that. thinset tile to backer.
