I want to remove a load bearing wall the has TJI that run over the top of it. My goal is to bury a beam into the ceiling. Is it code to hanger the TJI’s off the beam if I sandwich the ends of the TJI with SOB?

I-joists hang off of beams all the time - it's not at all unusual. They even make special hangers for just that.
Of course - This goes with the usual warnings to consult a qualified professional regarding the beam size, hanger type, etc............
*Before you do this you should make several checks. The big one is "Will your foundation support the concentrated load at the end of the beams?"having a structural engineer come out and look is money well spent.
*First question: Is the size of the current TJI's sufficient for the longer span? Why would someone have put in oversized TJI's?Also consider that TJI's allow for large holes in the middle of the span but only small holes near the supported ends. Check for DWV lines running near (4-5 feet away) the proposed beam. Those large holes wouldn't be allowed that close to a support. There may be a lot of other utilities (wiring, plumbing, DWV, ductwork) that currently run through those TJI's or the bays between them. You're usually not allowed to go blasting holes through a beam. -David
