Yup, had it in the mail yesterday. But I wasn't as horny as you to strip her down and go to work...

I still miss the old Tool Crib catalog.

I don't think there's anything like it out there right now.

Yeah, I bought a lot of stuff from them.  Always interesting.

Woodworkers Hardware cataloge is real thin now.  Used to be 3/4" thick.

Shep,Check out Seven Corners Hardware's print catalog. It's like a phone book. You have to pay for it, but they refund with a purchase. It's the only catalog I have ever paid for. They pretty much carry the full line of every major player in the power tool market.-KitTechnique is proof of your seriousness. - Wallace Stevens

Isn't that a great cover shot? Got mine on Wed or so. Been through it three times already. Got my eye on one of those Japanese dovetail chisels.

My centerfold dream would be one of the smoothing planes. Maybe that low angle jack plane....yow! Boi-oi-oi-oing!

Looking through the catalog this morning that's the one thing that jumped out at me too....

That thing looks darned good too. Trouble is, I always lose something like that in the pachysandra.

I lost a good old fashioned nail set Friday. Made do with a 16d nail and then found the dern thing in my back pocket 30 minutes later. This one may be long enough to get sucked into the bottom of the bags, I hope. TFB (Bill)

get two while you're at it - I just got my fourth this summer when placing an order from L-V for some miscellany - I've given the other three away to carpenters and woodworkers who've commented when noticing one in my shop's nail set lineup -

a great cheap gift for the woodworker/tool junkie -

That's kinda the situation I'm always in.  I never order just one item.  The way their shipping prices are, you're better off ordering multiple items.jt8

Shipping was more than the tool...

ain't that the truth - got into that situation a couple of times trying to finish the details on the window 92959.1  - a real teeth gritter to order $5 worth of magnets and pay $6.50 shipping -

I do like Amazon's 'free' shipping if you spend enough $ -

I'm sure some folks would consider LV's s/h prices as an incentive to buy more stuff, but its sad to say that I probably order 15-20 Amazon orders for every L-V.  Free shipping carries a lot of weight.

When i was in Ottawa last month, i made my friends take me out to the Lee Valley store there. The displays of various kinds of hardware were just outstanding. It's so nice to be able to touch/open/close all that stuff, to feel how substantial it all is...like their prices!

Brown paper wrap would be more environmentally friendly,

plus it would soak up the drool...
