Seems all the old codgers who had Foley/Belsaw sharpening sidelines are no more.Last set of knives i took to local lumberyard for local sharpener came back useless(burned;unjointed and unhoned).
Im looking for I guess a mailorder sharpening place i can send my planer blades and saws to . and get them back in a reasonable time and cost . Im in WV but i guess when theyre in a box really doeant matter where they go as long as they come back.

A friend once told me a tale of moving to a more rural area. He found a sharpening service by randomly asking folks. One day after a minor accident he was in the nearest hospital getting stitched up he asked the doctor. Doctor said he also was a woodworker who had looked for the same service until he asked where the hospital got its non-disposable surgical instruments sharpened.
Seems an old guy came around every month or so. He would sharpen anything from end mill and saw blades to tools for eye surgery. Worth a try. You might have to talk to someone in central sterile supply or similar name. Usually one that can get tools surgically sharp will do a good job on other things.
