   I think a 6 yr. old who didn't know a ladder jack from a hijack coulda done better!  Not too tough to figure out what the right title woulda been, either.

   Prefer pump jacks.

   Versatility in set-up, ease of height adjustment, consistent working distance from wall, weight loading, etc.

   Neither. A phone call to a good sub is what I would do anymore. I have sworn off those things, gave away my last pump jack last summer. I still have the ladder jacks although I don't know why.
   They each have their merits, ladder jacks are simpler in most ways, but pump jacks (good ones) are safer. You can easily tack a 2x4 rail 4' off the planking for safety purposes.

   Different purpose for different pieces of equipment.
   If yer working up'n down the wall then pumpers...if yer mainly workin' one area like fascia or windows...then ladder brackets.

   Just figga out which is easiest.
