The previous owner of this 1745 colonial installed 200 Amp service including a 50A (stove), a 30A (dryer), 6 20A and 20 15A breakers. We have lived here for 30 years. But, neither the previous owner or we have ever identified and labeled all breakers. I bit the bullet and started this project. I have made great progress using lights, noise of a drill, & even a gadget that plugs in to outlets and a companion thing that buzzes at the breaker to identify breakers — given the outlet destination. Here’s my problem. I ended up with 2 20A and 3 15A breakers unidentified. How do you determine the destination of a wire leading from a breaker to an unknown terminus? The reverse is easy.
