Transition hardwood and vinyl flooring
I have a floor layer here today and he is installing vinyl plank flooring in my kitchen reno that must transition to hardwood in my dining area. The finished height of the vinyl plank will be about 1/16 higher than the hardwood. I am unsure of whether to use the thin colored metal threshold strip or somehow fashion something out of wood. Any ideas?

The store where you bought the flooring will have something in wood that will look nice!
1/16 " isn't much and a wood transition has to be much thicker so not to break. Usually used for larger floor hieght differences. I would got with the metal transition so your not apt to trip. This is the practical approach. The brass colored usually looks good with wood tone.
