does any one have any experience with tree root barriers. I want to know the pro’s and con’s and also what is the preferred choice – fabric root barrier or rigid root barrier.

Not sure if this will help. When I had my septic tank replaced the installer poured rock salt around all the fittings wear roots would likely enter. I had a big cottonwood nearby but removed it shortly there after.
